    1. Feel free to make a substantial contribution of your own money to the public school of your choice! As for everybody else, there is no clear relationship between per pupil spending and student performance. We could double the amount of money allocated to government schools, and the increase would likely go to remodeled offices for administrators, more higher paid administrators and more spending on critical race theory curricula. Meanwhile, the schools themselves are crumbling due to lack of maintenance, and excellent teachers are underpaid, while incompetent ones are mollycoddled by the unions and the bureaucracy. After the school systems have demonstrated that they are spending their existing funds wisely, then they can come back to the taxpayers to ask for more.

  1. Yes, money is ALWAYS the answer. That’s why scores have been going up with the increased per pupil spending. WAIT – the scores have been trending DOWN for many years despite increasing per pupil spending. Hmm . . . Let’s change the subject and focus on a “woke” curriculum – one where focusing on getting correct answers is “oppression”… that will fix everything!

  2. IPS needs to stop trying to be everything to all their students and focus on English, math and reading for any student below their grade level. Yes, include some art, physical ed, etc., but focus on the skills they need to survive and thrive. And we wonder why there are so many young people who can’t get or hold down a job. Parents need to step up, too. Your kids are not doing well and that is not because of the pandemic.

    1. When you say “all things”, could you elaborate? You’re talking about focusing upon specific things but aren’t saying what they are trying to do and shouldn’t.
