  1. What guarantee is there that federal funds will still flow to Indiana once Trump hollows out the DOE? Who’s to say the MAGA Congress won’t stop those monies to offset the cost of making tax cuts permanent for the billionaire oligarchs? Don’t hold your breath folks, because the education of our children isn’t Trump’s #1 concern.

    1. If Indiana is given more flexibility to spend the money, you can count on it going to be spent on anything in the world except public schools or teacher salaries. We will use it to build shiny new schools for charter schools or tiny school districts no one attends … double the superintendent salaries or … buy every school kid a Bible … the list goes on.

I’d suggest that Indiana just ask another state to come in and run education because we do such a bad job of it… But knowing Indiana, we’d go out and find a state that does even worse than we do and join forces with them.

  2. Both Braun and Jenner need to hear from constituents on the subject of the wisdom of their decisions to stay in lockstep with MAMA on this subject. This decision should be about education not culture wars.
