The seven-day moving average of positive cases in Indiana was 1,188 on Monday, up from 1,145 on Sunday and from 985 on April 1.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 dropped to 881 on Monday from 909 on Sunday. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state reported 16 new deaths from COVID-19, raising the cumulative total to 12,762.
The health department reported the testing of 3,895 new individuals.
The state said more than 1.43 million Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Tuesday at 5 a.m. More than 2 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
