The seven-day moving average of positive cases in Indiana dipped from 1,253 on Monday to 1,247 on Tuesday, but was up from 985 on April 1.
The state reported 14 new deaths from COVID-19, increasing the cumulative total to 12,840.
The health department said it added a historical load of 848 tested individuals and nine historical cases to the cumulative totals. Those numbers were not included in the new daily counts.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 dropped from 891 on Monday to 836 on Tuesday. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The health department reported the testing of 5,945 new individuals.
The state said more than 1.6 million Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Wednesday at 5 a.m. More than 2.2 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
