The seven-day moving average of positive cases in Indiana was 1,344 on Friday, the highest mark since Feb. 12.
The state reported five new deaths from COVID-19, increasing the cumulative total 12,808.
The worldwide death toll from COVID-19 rose past 3 million on Saturday, to 3,008,043.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 increased from 821 on Thursday to 861 on Friday. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The health department reported the testing of 10,652 new individuals.
The state said it added 4,736 historical tested individuals and 1,241 historical cases to the cumulative totals, but not to Saturday’s counts.
The state said more than 1.55 million Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Thursday at 5 a.m. More than 2.14 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
