The state also reported 14 new deaths due to the coronavirus, the lowest number since Jan. 31. Reported deaths due to COVID-19 have exceeded single digits in 131 of the past 132 days.
The department said 6,696 new individuals were tested Friday, the highest number in a week.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 fell from 948 on Thursday to 923 on Friday, the lowest number since Oct. 2. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state said more than 424,000 Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Saturday at 5 a.m. More than 880,000 had received the first dose of a vaccination.
