The seven-day moving average of positive cases in Indiana dropped from 1,106 on Wednesday to 1,059 on Thursday—up from 1,019 a month ago.
The state reported 12 new deaths from COVID-19, raising the cumulative total to 12,983.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 decreased from 991 on Wednesday to 939 on Thursday—up from 706 a month ago. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The health department reported the testing of 5,562 new individuals.
The state said more than 2 million Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Friday at 5 a.m. More than 2.4 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.

Are we no longer tracking COVID ventilator numbers?
Kenny, we took the ventilator numbers out today for the first time because there really hasn’t been a concern about there being enough of them in a long time. But we just put them back because you wanted them.
