Subscribe NowThe Indiana State Department of Health on Saturday reported 1,076 new COVID-19 cases and 17 more deaths. The state has reported double-digit deaths in five straight daily reports and in 12 of the past 15 reports.
The department reported the testing of 24,231 new individuals—an all-time high number for the department’s daily report. The number, however, includes the addition of 11,552 tested individuals dating back to June 4 from an additional facility that has been newly onboarded into the department’s electronic reporting system. The state did not say how many new cases came from the historic data dump.
The state’s cumulative testing-positivity rate for unique individuals remained at 8.7%.
