Deaths due to COVID-19 have exceeded single digits for 101 straight days. The state has reported 325 new deaths over the past seven days, an average of 46.4 per day. That’s down from 379 deaths, or 54.1 per day, the previous week.
The U.S. death toll has now exceeded 400,000.
The state said 8,684 new individuals were tested Tuesday in Indiana..
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 fell from 2,332 on Monday to 2,302 on Tuesday, the 12th decline in 13 days. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state said 79,878 Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 so far, an increase of 7,998 from the previous day.
