The state also reported 52 new deaths due to the coronavirus, the fifth day in a row with more than 50 new deaths. The department has reported 384 new deaths over the past seven days, or an average of 54.9 per day, up from 245, or 35 per day, the previous week.
Reported deaths due to COVID-19 have exceeded single digits in 121 of the past 122 days.
The department said 6,749 new individuals were tested Tuesday.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 rose slightly, from 1,265 on Monday to 1,273 on Tuesday. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state said more than 258,000 Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Wednesday at 5 a.m. More than 736,000 had received the first dose of a vaccination.

Really? 52? How many flu deaths? Seems we have “cured” the flu. Throughout the world flu cases and deaths have fallen off a cliff. I wonder why?
