The state also reported 67 new deaths due to the coronavirus, the highest number since Jan. 26. Reported deaths due to COVID-19 have exceeded single digits in 120 of the past 121 days.
The department said 4,860 new individuals were tested Monday.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 fell, from 1,292 on Sunday to 1,265 on Monday, the lowest number since Oct. 11. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state said more than 240,000 Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as Tuesday at 5 a.m. More than 718,000 had received the first dose of a vaccination.
