While case counts saw a steep decline after the first of the year, they have plateaued in recent weeks. The seven-day moving average of positive cases stood at 785 on March 2. It was at 800 on Monday.
The state also reported the deaths of 18 more people from COVID-19, raising the cumulative number to 12,553.
The department said 3,387 new individuals were tested Monday.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 increased from 548 on Sunday to 596 on Monday. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state said more than 970,000 Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Tuesday at 5 a.m. More than 1.46 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
