Cases have topped 1,000 in nine of the past 13 daily reports.
The seven-day moving average of positive cases in Indiana was 1,145 on Sunday, up from 1,128 on Saturday and from 939 two weeks ago.
The state said it added 285 cases dating back to March 23 to the cumulative count, but not the daily count.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 jumped to 909 on Sunday from 825 on Saturday, the highest mark since Feb. 19. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state reported three new deaths from COVID-19, raising the cumulative total to 12,746.
The health department reported the testing of 3,858 new individuals.
The state said more than 1.41 million Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Monw1day at 5 a.m. More than 1.97 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
