Indiana reports 920 new COVID-19 cases, 17 more deaths

The Indiana State Department of Health on Thursday reported 920 new COVID-19 cases and 17 additional deaths.

The department reported the testing of 9,021 more unique individuals. The cumulative positivity rate for unique individuals remained at 8.6% and the seven-day positivity rate for unique individuals rose from 6.8% to 7.1%.

Following are the latest COVID-19 numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health. The department updates its data daily based on information received through 11:59 p.m. the previous day.

Total cumulative cases reported Wednesday: 113,337

Increase in cumulative cases: 899

Indiana intensive care unit usage

Available ICU beds: 39.4%

ICU beds in use by COVID-19 patients: 11.3%

Available ventilators: 81.2%

Ventilators in use for COVID-19: 2.9%

U.S. cases: 6,941,248

U.S. deaths: 202,170

Global cases: 31,944,038

Global deaths: 977,881

*New cases, deaths and tests are previously unreported cases, deaths and tests submitted to the Indiana State Health Department in the 24 hours through 11:59 p.m. the previous day. The cases and testing categories typically contain numerous duplicates—as many as 20% or more—that are later eliminated from the cumulative totals.
