The state also reported 86 new deaths due to the coronavirus, the highest number reported since Jan. 19. Reported deaths due to COVID-19 have exceeded single digits in 123 of the past 124 days.
The department said 7,378 new individuals were tested Thursday.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 dropped from 1,226 on Wednesday to 1,178 on Thursday, the lowest number since Oct. 7. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state said more than 300,742 Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Friday at 5 a.m. More than 779,240 had received the first dose of a vaccination.
