The last time the state reported fewer new daily cases was March 25, 2020, during the early days of the COVID-19 outbreak, when 112 cases were reported.
Marion County, with 11 new cases, was the only county in the Indianapolis area to report more than 10 cases in the latest report. The surrounding counties all reported six or fewer cases.
The state has reported fewer than 500 daily cases for 13 straight days.
The department also reported two new deaths from COVID-19, raising the cumulative death tally to 13,324.
The state said more than 2.67 million Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. More than 2.72 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 decreased from 538 on Saturday to 497 on Sunday, the lowest number since the early days of the pandemic. Hospitalizations are down from a recent high of 1,019 on May 4. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
