  1. “ Republican Sen. Jim Tomes, the author of the Senate bill that passed the chamber in February, told lawmakers parents had brought him several inappropriate books in their libraries, ”

Yet he refused to name the guilty libraries.

    1. The WYFI article(shout out NPR!) had an even better quote from good ol’ Jim……
During Senate testimony, he mentioned emails that he and his wife received from people who supported the measure. He said the messages came from within and outside of Indiana, including people from Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina.

“It really got to me, these people that we don’t know, who wrote personal letters, to let Margie and I know they were praying about this,” he said.
