The department reported the testing of 9,287 new individuals, the 12th time in 15 days that new testing has exceeded 9,000. The state’s 7-day testing-positivity rate jumped from 7.6% on Saturday to 8% on Sunday while the overall testing-positivity rate stayed at 8.9%.
The state also reported three new deaths due to COVID-19, bringing the total during the pandemic to 2,924.
Marion County reported an increase of 101 cases, the 31st straight day that cases in the county have risen by more than 100. The county’s 7-day testing-positivity rate was 9.3%.
