Indiana tops 2.5M mark for fully vaccinated residents

The Indiana State Department of Health on Saturday reported 448 new COVID-19 cases. Meanwhile, the state passed the 2.5 million mark in fully vaccinated individuals.

The state said 2,507,121 Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. More than 2.64 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.

Saturday marked the 22nd straight day with fewer than 1,000 cases.

The department also reported 19 new deaths from COVID-19, raising the cumulative death tally to 13,198.

Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 decreased from 767 on Thursday to 746 on Friday. They are down from 1,019 on May 4. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.

Following are the latest COVID-19 numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health. The department updates its data daily based on information received through 11:59 p.m. the previous day.

** The health department reports the 7-day positivity rates with a six-day lag to allow time for more comprehensive results.
