Translation: I need to see what the political climate is before I veto it. I sure don’t need to another stupid veto, while I am looking for a job.
Holcomb will veto it. The legislature will override the veto.
I was wrong. He signed it.
What a weasel. Just like the girls sports bill.
Despicable
Shame on you, governor
We need the right to perform gender mutilation and hormonal experimentation on children. Otherwise, we’re just not progressive. And we all know that progressives are the truly enlightened sect, and we peasants should just give obeisance to their supreme wisdom, gladly accepting it like a sermon on the mount.
It only takes a majority of the State legislature to pass most bills and also only a majority to override a veto of the same bill by the Governor. So unless I’m missing something, a veto by the Governor changes nothing. And in essence, his veto is meaningless and makes no sense. So under those circumstances, why even have it.
Whereas, it takes a majority of the U.S. Congress to pass most bills, but it requires a 2/3 vote by Congress to override a Presidential veto. That gives value to a Presidential veto and makes sense.
Also, if the President of the U.S. does not sign a bill within a specified period of time, then the bill is killed and referred to as a Pocket Veto.
Whereas, in Indiana, if the Governor does not sign a bill within a specified of time, it passes. So I’m wondering why even have the Governor even sign or not sign bill. P.H.
