The firm’s president and general counsel, Ryan Vaughn, said Sondhi has signed an agreement with the Indiana Economic Development Corp. that qualifies the company for up to $3.8 million in state tax credits if it adds 250 new employees by the end of 2028.
The company also announced Monday that it is rebranding and will now do business as Exos Cos. As part of that new identity, the company will operate each of its three divisions under a distinct name that describes what that division does: Exos Cyber, Exos Talent, and Exos IT.
Sondhi Solutions, founded in 2009 by CEO Jason Sondhi, started with one consultant and now has more than 250 employees. About 80 employees work at the company’s downtown headquarters, while the others work at client locations around the U.S. The company landed on IBJ’s Fast 25 list of fastest-growing private companies in both 2015 and 2016.
Exos provides cybersecurity services, IT talent and IT consulting to customers that include municipalities, utility providers, not-for-profit organizations and private companies. (IBJ Corp., the parent of IBJ, is an Exos client.)
“It gave us a fresh opportunity to be more specific about the type of services we provide,” Vaughn said of the rebranding. “We kind of have three really strong, separate, distinct areas of the business.”
Vaughn was president of the Indiana Sports Corp. and chief of staff for former Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard before joining Sondhi Solutions in 2022.
The company occupies a 22,000-square-foot office in the BMO Plaza building, 135 N. Pennsylvania St. It moved to the new office in October from its previous office a few blocks to the south, in the Majestic building at the corner of Pennsylvania and Maryland streets.
