The seven-day moving average of positive cases in Indiana dropped from 1,193 on Thursday to 1,015 on Friday—up from 985 on April 1.
The state reported 13 new deaths from COVID-19, increasing the cumulative total to 12,861.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 increased from 846 on Thursday to 853 on Friday. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30. Hospitalizations are up 22% since April 1.
The health department reported the testing of 5,710 new individuals.
The state said more than 1.71 million Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Saturday at 5 a.m. More than 2.27 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
