Indiana’s death toll from COVID-19 surpasses 2,800

The Indiana State Department of Health on Wednesday reported 740 new COVID-19 cases, the ninth time in the past 10 days that new cases have exceeded 600.

The department als0 reported the testing of 7,255 more individuals, the third-lowest total in the past three weeks. The 7-day testing positivity rate rose from 7.3% on Tuesday to 7.8% on Wednesday. The state’s overall testing-positivity rate remained at 8.8%.

Marion County reported an increase of 132 cases, the 20th straight day that cases in the county have risen by more than 100. The county’s 7-day testing-positivity rate rose from 9.1% to 9.5%.

The state reported another 14 deaths on Wednesday. It has seen 73 deaths over the past seven days, up from 67 the previous week.

Following are the latest COVID-19 numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health. The department updates its data daily based on information received through 11:59 p.m. the previous day.

  1. But that’s not the whole story! According to the CDC WEBSITE. Indiana has SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED IN THE LAST MONTH! But of course that doesn’t line up with the panic and fear the media wants us to believe. So only numbers that support their position are revealed.

  2. Peggy, this report includes the number of deaths for the past week, the previous week and each of the past three months. Exactly what numbers are not being revealed?
