The Indianapolis Star is sad. It was risky being a one-newspaper town, it became a disaster when Gannett took over. It is also concerning that two TV news stations have the same owner.
Recently, I read a story in the IndyStar that contradicted its headline. I used the email link to ask the writer to clarify. She responded that she didn’t know because it was an AP story. If the story was taken from the wire service an acknowledgment should be shown in the position where a byline appeared. How many people are really writing stories anyway?
