  1. Well, if State income tax deadlines aren’t moved to match, the move doesn’t really help, as you can’t do your State income taxes without doing your Federal income taxes. It may help delay a Federal payment by a month (though people owing vs refund are nominal), but won’t do anything about procrastinating the completion of taxes as they’ll have to be done by April 15 if states don’t follow…

    1. This is an AP article from yesterday. I took a quick look and the IDOR hasn’t made an announcement if they will follow the IRS’ move to delay until May 17th. The odds are very high all states will follow suit.

    1. I filed on Feb12. As of Friday, the IRS asked me to please wait until May 22nd to follow up again on my refund status… sigh
