Stevanato Group announced Wednesday that it plans to spend $145 million to build and equip a 370,000-square-foot facility in a life sciences park being developed in Fishers.
Construction is expected to begin later this year and finish in 2023. The facility will offer jobs in production, engineering, maintenance and corporate support.
Founded in 1949, Stevanato Group provides containment, delivery and diagnostic solutions for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences industries. Headquartered in Piombino Dese, Italy, the company has 4,300 employees around the globe.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Stevanato up to $2.9 million in tax credits and $500,000 in training grants if the company meets its job-creation goals for the Fishers facility.
Fishers will consider up to $1.2 million in additional incentives, according to a press release.

Life sciences park? Where?
Seems when they announced INCOG BioPharma they were considering land at Exit 5 parkway (Ex 205) east of Top Golf between 116th and 121st and maybe that will be the life sciences park.
That makes sense. Good recollection.
Will these positions pay enough for the people to be able to live in Fishers?
Another big win for Scotty McFadness’ pizza strategy. You see – if you build the pizza places then the people will follow.
Brilliant strategy – so KEEP BRINGING THE PIZZA, SCOTTY!!!!!!!
Kinda vague stats? Great questions on the location and projected income levels / types of job availability. Pretty aggressive time line for a 145M investment? In a “life science park” of which no one is aware exists? Is this a REAL thing that will happen?
