  1. This legislation shows the priorities of the state legislature, as once again there is no attention given to the need for (and benefits of) universal Pre-K education in Indiana’s children. Unbelievable, but hardly shocking.

    For those who are unaware, children in universal Pre-K have higher literacy, numeracy, and language fluency skills than their peers who are not enrolled. By starting early, children can develop the fundamental skills they need to succeed in school.
