In her tenure representing Noblesville in the Indiana Senate, we had a school shooting. My son, our family, and virtually all Noblesville families were greatly impacted.
In my 15 years in Noblesville it easily was and still is our largest tragedy. We, like most communities, united together. Spartz, however, stood alone in the Statehouse fighting to allow the child shooter to have unimpeded gun rights when released from juvenile custody. Her Republican colleagues virtually en masse voted for changing the law. Spartz? Stood on the floor arguing for gun rights.
My child, our children, were forever changed, and our representative chose lobby over common sense. No thank you.•
