Letters: Don’t forget heliport overpass

In regard to the city’s plans to improve several overpasses downtown, may I ask the city to include the CSX overpass on East Street under the heliport [“City eyes updates to Union Station overpasses,” Jan. 20].

I poured hundreds of thousands of dollars into revitalizing the Mavris Arts and Event Center near there. Also south of the overpass is Elevance Health, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance and, of course, the gateway to Fletcher Place and Fountain Square.

An improved overpass would be a great gateway for the East Street corridor.
