Indiana has already established itself as a national leader in securing a carbon-neutral future with market-based projects such as the largest solar farm in the nation and electric vehicle battery plants popping up throughout the region. These investments not only help transition our energy production to an all-of-the-above strategy, but they also create new, long-lasting jobs that are revamping the manufacturing industry.
As a rising tide lifts all boats, so too do the investments in renewable energy manufacturing improve the economic outlook for both rural and urban areas.
As we look to the future of energy production, I urge the leaders in the state to focus on growing and supporting market-based, commonsense solutions to decarbonization without imposing onerous government mandates. American energy independence is just waiting to be unleashed and I am confident that Hoosiers will be on the forefront.
