    1. I deeply appreciate our national parks and what the National Parks Foundation does for them, but there are pressing needs in both the state and Indianapolis park and trail systems that would have greatly benefitted from even a 10th of this grant, and shown more immediate impact.

  1. The Lilly Endowment should pay to make sure that the closing NIPSCO coal plant is:

    1) Cleaned up correctly.
    2) Redeveloped in a way that allows it to be enjoyed by the public while also replacing tax revenue for Michigan City.
    3) Is a great gateway to Indiana Dunes National Park.

    All things that the state government should handle, but won’t because the Legislature is clueless.
