    1. Since when should they be acceptable? How they are interpreted is all that matters.

    2. Because those are buzzwords used for assertive women. When it’s a man, assertiveness is seen as an attribute but with women a detriment. Spending too much time in a cave (or on right wing websites) will blur reality.

  1. If you dip your toe in the identitarian pool–as Lilly CLEARLY has–before long the clawed creatures in the water are grabbing at your whole leg. While I hope this matter gets resolved quickly and as amicably as possible, it’s obvious to see how the current culture that gives cogency to “microaggressions” has created an HR quagmire that will make the average corporate environment akin to walking on eggshells, for everyone. Compliment someone, they’ll claim it has sexual undertones and use it to get you fired. And you will never appease these people, for which Lilly and other woke corporations will have to learn the hard way. Capitulating only sends the signal that they get rewarded for throwing temper tantrums, so this is likely only the first in a chain reaction that will quite easily take down the more weak-willed companies. Better that they learn the painful truths now than later.

Corporate bylaws are typically inert and carved with a scalpel for good reason. Change things too rashly and radically and the whole institution unravels.

    1. Uh, what? I only infrequently read or comment on comments on stories, however this comment is the most confused mishmash of odd cliches, and esoteric ideas i’ve ever read.

  2. I think it’s great that a woman executive is accused of harrassment. Abuse is abuse, and the perpetrators can be women, men, people from any race or creed, or anyone for that matter.

  3. Interesting story. Since only part of the facts are available it will be interesting to see how the lawsuit comes out. Rather than jumping to conclusions w/only part of the story I’ll wait until the case has made it’s way through the courts. Unfortunately, I will admit I don’t have a high regard for lobbyists though.

    1. Wait, Jerry, you want the whole story, all the facts available, and due process? You are supposed to read a news story, scream, and go burn down a Wendy’s. That is how this stuff works now.

    2. laughing my *ss off Chuck! Thanks for the humor (funny comment w/a sad bit of truth).
