Indianapolis-based Langham Logistics announced plans on Monday to open a 187,000-square-foot distribution center in Whitestown that will be dedicated to serving pharmaceutical, vaccine and biologics manufacturing and distribution client.

Langham said the facility will feature more than 60,000 sq. ft. of validated cold storage (refrigerated and frozen)and 50,000 square feet of controlled room temperature storage.

The facility at 4995 Perry Worth Road is strategically positioned to serve life science clients seeking storage and distribution space and expertise that offers delivery of life-saving medicines to patients and partners anywhere in the U.S. in less than 24 hours.

“We are excited about the expanded capabilities our new facility in Whitestown will provide to both our existing and future life science clients, including an expanded focus on business-continuity planning for pharmaceutical supply chains and a focus on enabling the success of cell and gene therapy research pipelines,” Langham Logistics CEO Cathy Langham said in written remarks.

Langham Logistics, founded in 1988, also offer supply-chain management and temperature-controlled and non-temperature-controlled freight services in Plainfield, Phoenix, and Carson, California.
