As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowIndianapolis-based Accelerate Inc., a 27-year-old IT managed services provider, has been acquired by The Purple Guys, the companies announced Tuesday.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Accelerate, based at 8004 Castleway Drive in Castleton, has 20 employees. The firm has already changed its name to The Purple Guys.
Shreveport, Louisiana-based Purple Guys, which has more than 200 employees, said the acquisition will expand its presence in the central United States. Besides Shreveport, the company has offices in New Orleans; Kansas City, Kansas; St. Louis, Missouri; and Austin and Dallas, Texas.
Kevin Cook, CEO of The Purple Guys, said he expected Purple Guys to expand its presence in the Indianapolis market.
Accelerate specializes in customized IT solutions, cloud services and cybersecurity. It was founded by Tony Schafer, who will remain with the merged company.
