The $720 million structure was financed by state and city government in conjunction with the Indianapolis Colts. It has about 67,000 seats for football and hosted the Super Bowl in 2012. It is expandable to 70,000 seats for basketball games and hosted the NCAA Final Four in 2010, 2015 and 2021. On Monday, the College Football Playoff National Championship game will be played at Lucas Oil.
