OrthoIndy will nearly triple the size of its Lafayette presence with the addition of seven orthopedic surgeons in April and expects to announce plans for a new clinic and surgery center in Tippecanoe County in 2024.

The new additions will bring the total number of OrthoIndy surgeons practicing in Lafayette to 11 and bring OrthoIndy’s total number of physicians throughout central Indiana to 89.

The new physicians will come from the Lafayette Orthopaedic Clinic, which is forming a new partnership with OrthoIndy. The clinic will maintain its name and continue to operate at 1411 South Creasy Lane in Lafayette.

Later, OrthoIndy plans to open a new, free-standing clinic, orthopedic urgent care center and surgery center in Lafayette.

“Lafayette Orthopaedic Clinic has a long history of serving patients in this community and we are excited to join forces with OrthoIndy, a team that shares our same commitment to excellent patient care,” Dr. Mark Page, managing partner of the Lafayette Orthopaedic Clinic, said in written remarks.

The Lafayette expansion comes on the heels of plans for two other new OrthoIndy locations in central Indiana. OrthoIndy recently announced a new practice in Westfield, with plans for an outpatient surgery center to open in 2023. The orthopedics practice also is building a new hospital and clinic in Brownsburg, which is expected to open in the spring.

“Our growth in Lafayette exemplifies our ongoing pursuit of being even more accessible to those in need of orthopedic care across the state,” OrthoIndy CEO John Ryan said in a written statement.
