  1. Jonas Salk, credited with creating the first, effective vaccine for polio around 1955 refused to patent his invention. “On April 12, 1955, the day the Salk vaccine was declared “safe, effective and potent,” legendary CBS newsman Edward R. Morrow interviewed its creator and asked who owned the patent. “Well, the people, I would say,” said Salk in light of the millions of charitable donations raised by the March of Dimes that funded the vaccine’s research and field testing. “There is no patent. Could you patent the sun?” Lawyers for the foundation had investigated the possibility of patenting the vaccine but did not pursue it, in part because of Salk’s reluctance.” Unlike Pfizer, Moderna, and J & J … and the stockholders that own those companies, including the elected politicians making the back-and-forth declarations of vaccine efficacy, safety, science, etc., Jonas Salk essentially donated his invention to the public domain, which caused the vaccine to be widely distributed and administered and the effect was to essentially knock out polio overnight. This was before both “Big Government” and “Big Pharma”. Now we are in the game of “Follow the Money”, and citizens health and welfare takes a backseat to money, wealth, and power. If Pfizer believes they have a valid vaccine for youngsters down to age 6 months, they should consider donating all vaccines to that population. That would also be a great PR move … to satisfy the Woke Leftists that deride profits and wealth in favor of socialism. Have not heard from AOC on this one.
