  1. Equal pay for equal work and equal market value. If your performances don’t bring in as much money as others, why would you expect your “employer” to pay you the same? Are they expecting the government to subsidize their employers???

  2. Women work just as hard as the guys in NCAA basketball. However look where most of the revenue comes from. End of discussion. Life isn’t always fair. Do the WNBA players make as much as the NBA. No the economics don’t allow for it. We don’t live in a socialized nation and thank god we don’t. All incentive goes out the window. What if Lebron couldn’t make any more than any other player on the Lakers.

  3. What some commentators seem to be missing here is the NCAA is a tax-exempt organization, meaning we the taxpayers subsidize it since it is given the privilege of generally not paying taxes. It is also subject under federal law to Title IX nondiscrimination provisions. The primary purpose of the NCAA is NOT to make money, rather it is to support and elevate student athletes. If the NCAA would like to forfeit its tax-exempt status and become a for-profit TAXABLE corporation, it is welcome to do so and start paying corporate income tax, then it can make decisions primarily based on revenue generation.
