Subscribe NowI could not agree more with Nate Feltman’s column on the need for good local reporting and newspapers [Crisis highlights importance of trusted local news, April 17]. As a life-long resident of Indy, I began delivering the [Indianapolis] News at age 11. After turning 12, the required minimum age for carriers that the News ignored, I moved to the Star. In addition to delivering the paper, I devoured it too. Our local papers in the 1950s brought you local, state, national and international news—something in very short supply in today’s revised marketplace.
Has IBJ thought about adding someone to write stories of national or international interest? Keep up the good writing.
