  1. And saw many a Blast match there in the old USISL. I also watched a US women’s national team game versus Iceland there in 1998. It was packed to see greats like Mia Hamm and Lilly and Akers.

    Question: when the article says new “turf” will be laid, what is meant? Grass or plastic? You won’t get top-flight rugger or soccer there if it’s plastic. It needs to be grass.

    1. It’s a group of private investors, so it is their money to waste or not. Assumedly, they have done a financial analysis and think they will get a good return on the money they put in.
