This is what happens when systems fail. Standards are lowered, as well as literacy. Academic leadership from K to 4 year colleges and universities have declined drastically in the past 50 years. Much of it comes as a result of social accepted ‘norms’. This country only became ‘great’ thru self determination and high standards. Forgoing them can only lead to its continual down spiral.
So it is about making fewer standards and changing the frequency of testing, but they are going to add checkpoint tests? So more tests on fewer standards – or did I read something wrong?
