  1. Diego would know all about abusing things based on the honor system … like voting where he didn’t live in 2018.

He took office in 2023 and it took him 22 months to get around to this, the very last minute?

    1. Exactly. The only reason that Republicans are doing this now is because 1) their internal polling numbers are awful and 2) they want to cheat and purge legitimate voters from the rolls.

    2. 3) they want to be able to discredit the election.

Recall that Trump was claiming there was fraud before the 2016 election he won. He convened a blue ribbon commission that looked into it and quietly disbanded after finding none.

But, hey, you’re no longer a Republican in good standing unless you repeat what Dear Leader wants you to believe. Trump is like any number of NBA players who whine to the ref all the time. It’s ponderous.

  2. Morales admitting that he knew of “1” illegal alien registered to vote is enough that scrutiny of all 585,000 should be reviewed and verified.

It is illegal to register a non citizen and it is illegal to vote as non citizen. Relying on the “honor” system for the sovereignty of our Constitutional Republic is outrageous and is a derelict of his duties as a servant of the Indiana Citizens!

    1. Steve, that’s a funny standard to take for a guy who was twice fired for incompetence from the office he’s now running and who was caught twice voting in Hendricks County while living in Marion County. I mean, Charlie White got thrown out of office the same office for what Diego got caught doing. Convicted of felonies, too.

It’s all well and good to take the position you’re taking, but it kind of falls flat when you don’t call it both ways, especially for the political office tasked with running elections.

  3. It’s not the fact the guy is doing it, it’s that he’s doing it shortly before the election. Where was this issue a year ago? Same with Virginia. That it probably also violates Federal law is just icing on the cake.

As a poll worker in Hamilton County, I can tell you there is no “honor” system. You present valid id, your name and address have to match from that ID (usually a driver’s license), and then you can vote. We don’t take anyone’s word for it they can vote.
