  1. On the day that an IBJ headline states Central Indiana lacks educated workforce to fill high-skilled jobs, report finds “Central Indiana lacks educated workforce to fill high-skilled jobs, report finds” the state decides to lower standards to make sure that never changes.

  2. The headline sounds terrible. However, it doesn’t sound like they are actually reducing the standards, just the number of standards. Perhaps a better headline would have been “State plans significant reduction in number of standards for K-12 students”.
