The state also reported 33 new deaths due to the coronavirus. Reported deaths due to COVID-19 have exceeded single digits in 124 of the past 125 days.
The department said 7,300 new individuals were tested Friday.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 dropped from 1,178 on Thursday to 1,079 on Friday, the lowest number since Oct. 7. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state said more than 320,575 Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Saturday at 5 a.m. More than 799,639 had received the first dose of a vaccination.
