Subscribe NowThe Indiana State Department of Health on Tuesday reported 495 new COVID-19 cases, the smallest number of cases in the daily report since 421 were reported on March 15. New cases have been below 1,000 for 11 straight days.
The state also reported 21 new deaths due to COVID-19, the highest number 21 were reported March 21.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 dipped slightly, from 817 on Sunday to 814 on Monday. They are down from 1,019 on May 4. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The health department reported the testing of 3,125 new individuals.
The state said 2.32 million Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. More than 2.52 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
