    While some argue that the saturated fat in beef tallow may not be as detrimental as previously thought, due to its fatty acid composition, excessive consumption can still negatively impact heart health. Canola oil is significantly lower in saturated fat and higher in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats (including omega-3s).

    End of story. Period.

  2. Once the servers were replaced with kiosks and favorite menu items were removed, there has simply been no reason for me to go to a slower version of McDonald’s. It seems odd from a PR perspective to now appeal only to just under half the country.

    1. We eventually adjusted to the slower service by placing two separate orders for burgers and fries. That way the burger doesn’t sit and get cold while they are frying the fries. There are too many local places that are doing great smash burgers, so I suspect we’ll never be back now.

    2. That’s insulting. McDonald’s has better burgers than Steak and Shake nowadays.

      Anyone heard anything about Biglari’s plans to put a bar on the top of his building downtown? I was looking forward to ordering drinks off a kiosk menu…

    1. +1. If you want the closest thing to what steak ‘n Shake used to be, go to Freddy’s. Culver’s also is pretty darn consistent as well.

    BTW, it’s not the oil that the potatoes are fried in that are making Americans fat. It’s the fact that we eat so many french fries to begin with. This way we’ll still be fat, but die more quickly of heart disease.
