De La Fontaine Industries, which was founded in the Canadian province of Quebec in 1968, said it plans to spend more than $2.25 million to lease and equip 12,000 square feet of space at 1445 Brookville Way. The company is hiring laborers and production assemblers.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. said it offered the company up to $125,000 in conditional tax credits based on the job-creation plans.
The manufacturing facility will be the fourth for the company in the United States. Its plants in Woburn, Massachusetts; Hyattsville, Maryland; and Grand Prairie, Texas; employ more than 250 people in total.
De La Fontaine said its products can be found in use at the U.S. Department of Defense, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Colorado State University Stadium as well as schools, residences and industrial facilities around the world.
