What a convoluted, bureaucratic, expensive stupid mess.
A lender refunding the money that has been paid so they can get the reimbursed from the government seems like it should be illegal.

What about holding lenders accountable. An 18 year old doesn’t realize the debt or repayment they will face upon graduation. Allowing students to fall so deep into debt in my opinion is such a scam.
The government isn’t interested in fixing the real problem. Obviously. There only interested in winning the next election.
