  1. Not the IRS’ fault. Understaffed, underfunded (thanks to Republicans), Congress passing stimulus payments and expecting the IRS to turn on a dime to accomplish it, Covid send most of the workforce home – modern companies can adjust with a remote workforce since they have modern computers, programs in the cloud, laptops – IRS employees didn’t have laptops for the most part and even if they did they couldn’t log into their ancient systems – again, see underfunding!
