Republican Sen. Mike Braun, Democrat Jennifer McCormick and Libertarian Donald Rainwater have agreed to participate in the debate, which will be broadcast live from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. from the WFYI public television station in Indianapolis.
The candidates are vying to replace Gov. Eric Holcomb, who cannot run for reelection due to term-limit rules. The election is Nov. 5.
The debate will be provided to all media outlets statewide to broadcast live over-the-air or online.
Commission member Laura Merrifield Wilson, a political science professor and host of WICR-FM 88.7’s “Positively Politics,” will moderate the debate.
The debate will also be live-streamed on the commission’s website at www.indianadebatecommission.com.
The Commission plans to release an announcement soliciting questions from Hoosiers before the debate.
